You've probably heard a couple of friends and maybe even said this yourself:
"My New Years Resolution is to lose 10 pounds."
Bullsh!t. Yes I typed it. I'm serious.
You go to the gym the weekend of the New Year, you don't work out to your fullest and capable ability. And you don't go back, let's say for about a week and a half, proceeding...you flaked.
Saying you'll go on a strict diet as a scapegoat from escaping your gym membership - not the answer to losing the weight.
Work is not an excuse. Family is not an excuse. School is not an excuse. You either can't commit or you need someone other than yourself to push you to the limit.
-Words from normal people and personal trainers.
Please comment.

A) Thanks for the virtual kick in the arse! There are no excuses...period!
B) I think you are right. Planning on losing weight is important, as its easier to reach a goal if you visualize it. However, dieting doesn't make it happen. We are all bombarded with those pesky commercials to eat only refried beans and you'll lose 20 pounds in three weeks. (Author's note: You'll also lose all of your friends.)
The only thing that will help any of us achieve our health goals is to eat properly, portion our meals, drink water and exercise daily. (Wow...I just heard my mother's voice on that one!)
Well said J., well said!! I and my gym membership thank you!! :-)
