On Valentine's Day we all seem to focus on those we love, but too often we don't focus on ourselves.
Don't get me wrong...I'm not saying we should be selfish at any time, much less on holidays. I'm saying that we should also treat ourselves well. Remember that without our health, we aren't able to focus on the other important people in our lives.
I must admit that I'm guilty - I've been so caught up in the week and spending time with other people in my life, that I slipped in taking care of myself. I missed my end of the week workout and I succumbed to the siren song of fast food.
Thankfully, all is not lost!
I kept my appointment with the fitness trainer at the Y and set up a weight training plan.
Also, I believe that knowing when I've slipped off is the first step to getting back on track much faster and with more resolve.
So, Happy Valentine's Day to me. Enjoy the day off...but get back out there tomorrow and get back on track!!
