The Importance of RunningPosted by: JYu on May 15, 2009 |

I know from personal experience that running isn't always fun. It takes work to get into the habit of running and it takes valuable time out of your day. Obviously, you have a job, possible a family, and other activities that get in the way of running. Besides you just finished eating and you really don't want to go run.
Now, running isn't that bad. It just requires anywhere from thirty to forty-five minutes, that's all. See, when you eat a big meal, you put on calories. This can become a problem for you because the more you do this, the bigger you can get. This is especially true if you don't get outside much. Working in an office and coming home to dinner then sleep doesn't give you much time to burn off some of the weight you just put on. After several weeks of this, you can begin to tell that you are not losing the weight by sitting there. If you don't get out much, and you just continue your routine day after day, week after week, month after month, you can really begin to put on the pounds.
Even if you just run around the block a little bit, that can really help. Just running around a bit, working out once a week, or just going a walk with your family or friends can help you keep in shape. It helps to bring some music, or get into the habit of running with a friend; this can keep it entertaining and fun.
